Henrique Calvão Martins participates in the Workshop on Taxation for Business Competitiveness

Today, 25 February, the “Workshop on Taxation for Business Competitiveness” is taking place at the Mozambique Chamber of Commerce (CCM), in Maputo. The event is organised by the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA), in partnership with CCM and MDR Advogados.

As part of the programme, Henrique Calvão Martins took part in the MDR Advogados presentation (IRPS/IRPC).

He also participated in the Plenary Session Panel entitled “The Role of Taxation in Business Competitiveness and Business Development”, which brought together representatives from the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI), Ernst & Young (EY), CTA and the Order of Accountants of Mozambique (OCAM).

Henrique Calvão Martins also delivered the final intervention on behalf of MDR Advogados, before the official closing of the event.

Throughout the workshop, key topics were discussed in connection with the current tax framework and the challenges arising from the recent changes to the Mozambican tax system, with a focus on business competitiveness and business development.

The event includes the participation of representatives from the General Directorate of Taxes, Ernst & Young and the Order of Accountants of Mozambique, fostering a broad discussion among public authorities, the private sector and tax professionals.
