MDR Advogados has been nominated for the 2026 Global Competition Review (GCR) Awards, in the category “Merger Control Matter of the Year – APMEA (Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa)”, for the Groupe Canal+/MultiChoice transaction.
This category recognises the leading merger control matter of the year in the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa region.
The GCR Awards honour each year the matters and teams that have stood out globally in the field of Competition Law and are widely regarded as an international benchmark in this area. MDR’s inclusion among the nominees reinforces recognition of its practice and of the team’s ability to advise on large-scale strategic transactions.
The awards ceremony will take place on 24 March 2026 in Washington, DC, on the eve of the ABA Spring Meeting, which brings together leading international competition specialists.
