MDR Advogados has been shortlisted for “National Law Firm of the Year – Mozambique” at the IFLR Africa Awards 2026, a recognition of its leading position in the Mozambican legal market.
In addition to this institutional nomination, MDR Advogados has also been shortlisted for “Deal of the Year – M&A” in connection with the Canal+ / MultiChoice transaction, one of the most significant transactions in the Mozambican market, reinforcing its involvement in highly complex operations in the media and telecommunications sector.
This nomination forms part of the broader recognition of the Morais Leitão Legal Circle, the international network of which MDR Advogados is the exclusive member in Mozambique, and which has been shortlisted for “African Legal Network of the Year”. Morais Leitão has also been shortlisted in the categories of “Lusophone Africa International Law Firm” and “International Law Firm of the Year”, reflecting the strength of the network’s cross-border practice across Africa.
The IFLR Africa Awards annually recognise law firms and professionals who stand out for technical excellence, innovation and involvement in significant transactions across the African continent.
The winners of the IFLR Africa Awards 2026 will be announced on 17 March.
