MDR signs partnership agreement with the Faculty of Law of Eduardo Mondlane University

MDR Advogados has recently entered into a partnership agreement with the Faculty of Law of Eduardo Mondlane University (FDUEM), reinforcing its commitment to legal education, closer ties with academia, and talent acquisition in strategic markets.

This agreement establishes a broad framework for collaboration, with a focus on the joint development of academic and professional initiatives, fostering a closer connection between legal education and legal practice.

The partnership includes the joint organisation of postgraduate programmes and initiatives such as conferences, seminars and workshops, as well as the development of activities that enhance students’ academic journeys, including internships and other forms of exposure to professional practice. It also encompasses initiatives aimed at strengthening the link between higher education and the practice of law, supporting the recruitment of future trainees, and preparing students for international competitions such as human rights and arbitration moot courts. Additionally, it includes training and mentoring activities within the scope of the FDUEM Legal Practice Centre.

According to Tiago Arouca Mendes, “this agreement constitutes a platform for cooperation focused on knowledge sharing, institutional capacity-building and the development of legal talent, aligned with the needs of the market and the country.”
