Tiago Arouca Mendes, Managing Partner of MDR Advogados, has been appointed as a member of the Board of the Global Alliance of Impact Lawyers (GAIL), joining the Africa Regional Board of this international alliance that promotes the role of law in the transition towards a more sustainable and inclusive economy.
This appointment comes at a particularly significant moment for the organisation, which has recently announced its new global leadership. Melissa Manzo, General Counsel at AgDevCo, has assumed the presidency of GAIL, alongside Emiliano Giovine, Partner at RP Legal & Tax, as Vice President, and Jessica Blumenthal, Secretary and Director at ENS, as Secretary. The new leadership team aims to strengthen the growth of the network, deepen connections between legal leaders worldwide, and accelerate a just transition across different sectors and geographies.
