The Middle Eastern and African Arbitration Review 2023 – Mozambique

Paula Duarte Rocha, Filipe Vaz Pinto and Joana Galvão Teles signed the Mozambique chapter of the guide "The Middle Eastern and African Arbitration Review 2023 - Mozambique", published by the Global Arbitration Review (GAR).

"This article describes the main legal framework of international and domestic arbitration, as well as the sector-specific rules on arbitration concerning relevant sectors of activity in Mozambique, such as the rules applicable to public-private partnerships, large corporate projects and concessions, the investment law, the mining law and the special framework of the Rovuma Basin Project. From this analysis, it is concluded that Mozambique has followed international trends on the development of arbitration and is party to the main international conventions, which facilitates foreign and domestic investment in the country."
