Ricardo António Mujui, Lawyer and arbitrator, has been with the firm since 2025, assisting domestic and international clients in the areas of labor law, banking and insurance law, foreign exchange, financial law and foreign investment, litigation and arbitration, regulatory and competition law, tax law, corporate and commercial law, and intellectual property.
Ricardo began his career as a legal assistant at the legal practice center of the Eduardo Mondlane University School of Law, providing pro bono legal assistance in the areas of labor, criminal, and family law from August 2022 to August 2023.
From March to October 2023, he worked at Business, Trading and Consulting, Sociedade Unipessoal, Lda., as a Legal Researcher, conducting studies and research on the regulation, supervision, and oversight of capital markets in Mozambique and other jurisdictions under comparative law.
From November 2023 to April 2024, Ricardo worked as a Trainee Attorney at JLA Advogados, a sole proprietorship, in the areas of tax, labor, real estate, mining, debt collection litigation, and arbitration.
From April 2024 to March 2025, he worked as a Legal Consultant at Tree Consulting, Lda., where he provided legal assistance in drafting legal opinions on tax law, international taxation, insurance law, and banking law; monitored cases in the courts; and provided assistance in financial and corporate law, among other legal and tax-related activities.
Ricardo worked as a Compliance Officer at Maximo Group, SA, where he was responsible for advising business units and ensuring the regulatory compliance of the Financial Group’s actions with the Bank of Mozambique and the Mozambican Insurance Supervisory Institute for less than a year.
Ricardo has regularly participated as a trainer and organizer in training programs and intensive courses on Foreign Investment, Exchange Control, Banking, and Arbitration.
