Ricardo António Mujui
Trainee
Ricardo António Mujui joined MDR Advogados in 2025, providing assistance in the areas of labour law, banking and insurance law, financial law and foreign investment, regulatory and competition law, tax law, corporate and commercial law, intellectual property and arbitration.
Ricardo began his career as a paralegal at the legal clinic of the Faculty of Law at Eduardo Mondlane University, rendering pro bono legal assistance in the areas of Labour law and family law from August 2022 to August 2023.
Between March and October 2023, he collaborated with Business, Trading and Consulting as a Legal Researcher, conducting studies and research in the field of capital markets regulation in Mozambique.
From November 2023 to April 2024, Ricardo worked as a trainee lawyer at JLA Advogados, providing assistance on matters related to tax, Labour, real estate, mining law, and debt recovery litigation.
From April 2024 to March 2025, he worked as a legal consultant at Tree Consulting, Lda., providing legal assistance in the drafting legal of opinions on tax, insurance and banking law, drafting insurance and banking contracts, and supporting financial and corporate law activities, among others legal and fiscal activities.
Ricardo worked as a Compliance Officer at Maximo Group, SA, for less than one year, responsible for advising business units and ensuring regulatory compliance of the financial group’s actions with the Bank of Mozambique and the Insurance Supervision Institute of Mozambique.

Education
Law Degree (Faculty of Law at Eduardo Mondlane University, 2023). Executive Course in Auditing, Compliance, and Risk Management (ISUTC Executive Education). Attending a degree program in International Relations and Diplomacy – awaiting thesis defense (Joaquim Chissano University). Currently attending a Master’s degree in Legal and Economic Sciences (Faculty of Law at Eduardo Mondlane University, in partnership with the University of Lisbon).
